The path to becoming Guru Chi was simple and relatively easy. Attending a Durga Das (aka David Newman) concert was the Guru’s introduction to Kirtan music. An audience of about 70 people were intoxicated not on alcohol but on positive energy and reaching a meditative state through song.
Guru Chi was born. And he wants to share his gift of music in a way that enhances the world by playing Native American flute and by creating conscious songs with a positive message. Whereas Kirtan music creates a path to meditation. Guru Chi is not concerned with traditions. Rather he combines the many kinds of music he has experienced into a flowing river of enchantment not bound by genre or instrumentation.
Guru Chi can be heard performing flute at meditations and yoga classes and on his recordings. He plays guitar and sings his conscious songs in many venues as a solo artist and as a band member of Bliss Factory and Snowflakes.
